How To Make Calvin's Index of Internet Get_A_Way's Home Page Your Home/Start Page

Users of a Netscape Browser

1. Go to the Netscape menu bar at the top of your screen and select "Options."
2. Click on the tab named "General Preferences" (or, in older versions, "Preferences").
3. Go to the "Appearance" menu.
4. Select "Home Page Location" and type in: http://www.real-world-solutions.org/calvin/

The next time you launch Netscape, and each time thereafter, the home page of Calvin's Index of Internet Get_A_Way's will come up automatically.

Users of a Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser 

1. Go to the View menu at the top of your screen and select "Options." 
2. Click the "Navigation" tab.
3. In the "Page" field, select "Home Page."
4.  In the "Address" field, type in: http://www.real-world-solutions.org/calvin/

The next time you launch Explorer, and each time thereafter, the home page of  Calvin's Index of Internet Get_A_Way's will come up automatically.

Best Screen Resolution

Calvin's Index of Internet Get_A_Way's is best viewed by setting the resolution on your computer monitor to 640 x 480 pixels. To check and/or to reset the resolution of your monitor:

PC Users (Windows 95/98)

1. Click on the "Start" button in the lower left corner of your monitor.
2. From the menu, select "Settings", then select "Control Panel."
3. From the "Control Panel window, select the Icon for "Display ." Another window will open.  Select the tab at the top of the screen called "Settings."
4. On the right of this screen is a slider control labeled "Desktop Area".  Select 640x480 by sliding the control to the left.

Macintosh Users:

1. Go to the upper left corner of your screen and click on the Apple logo.
2. Scroll down to "Control Panels"
3. Go to "Monitors & Sound"
4. Highlight and select 640 x 480.
